JUNIORS PROGRAM
Program Information

Within the Junior Academy Program, we offer two levels of play: Juniors (8U-10U) and Academy (9U-12U).
OVERVIEW:
The Juniors Program (8U-10U) stresses player development over results, and focuses on the development of individual skills, technique and basic game understanding in a training pool atmosphere. The program is recommended by US Soccer and the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association. Teams will be formed and will train in the Alamance County, Greensboro, High Point/Jamestown, Oak Ridge and Winston Salem regions. You will be able to select the location that is closest to your home.
Juniors Program Details:
- For players in the 8U-10U age groups
- Player evaluation is required
- Train 2 times per week
- Approx. 6-8 games per season
- Small sided format, 5v5 or 7v7
- Teams will participate in 1 festival/event at the end of each season
- Fall AND spring season commitment
- Will train at home location (Alamance County, Greensboro, High Point/Jamestown, Oak Ridge, and Winston Salem.
The Academy Program (9U-12U) is designed for players seeking the highest level of training, competition, coaching & development in the club. The 9U Greensboro and Winston Salem teams will train in their home location. Pool teams will be formed in the 10U-12U age groups from players living within the Triad and will train at a central location at Ivey Redman Park (Kernersville).
Free Preview Sessions
We will be conducting player evaluations in May to select players for the 2026 fall/2027 spring soccer year. Prior to the evaluations, we will be offering free clinics for recreational players interested in learning what the Juniors program is all about.

Registration
Player evaluations will be conducted in May to select players for the
2026 fall and 2027 springs seasons.
All players must register before attending the evaluation sessions.
Training, Game and Tournament Schedules
Teams will train 2 times per week.
Trainings sessions may be 5:15pm-6:30pm OR 6:30pm-7:45pm.
Game dates will be provided by the program director at the start of each season and can be found on the team calendar in your PlayMetrics account. Finalized game times, played at any NC Fusion facility, will be updated in your team calendar at least 7 days prior to the game date.
Away game times will be provided as soon as received from the hosting club. Please be aware that we do not have control over the timing of the release of final game schedules when we are visiting another club.
Schedules are always subject to change due to last minute weather issues, coaching conflicts and opposing club decisions.

REGISTRATION FEE: The registration fee is paid before evaluations, or supplemental evaluations. This fee covers a dry-fit training shirt, evaluators, and all admin associated with registration/placement process.
PAYMENT OPTIONS: Fees may be paid in full and 10 month payment plans are also available. There will be a $3.00 processing fee added to each payment.
PROGRAM FEES: Include all of the following: Coaches, director of soccer, administration, operating system, fields/facility maintenance, referee assignor fees, communication, insurance, training equipment, NCYSA dues, player cards, background checks, registrars, intent to play fees, coaching education, parent education, referee fees, tournament fees and coaches travel. Program fees are all inclusive except for the uniform.
LATE PAYMENTS: Players will be ineligible to participate in training, games or tournaments if the account becomes 15 days past due.
UNIFORMS: The cost of the uniform is not included in the program fees. We are entering the first year in a 2-year uniform kit cycle. All Juniors players are required to purchase a new uniform for the 2026-27 season.
CAMP FEES/ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS: Supplemental programming is not included and is optional, players must register for camps and additional programs.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE - NC Fusion is dedicated to provide opportunities in sport to all youth, regardless of the ability to pay, to the extent that financial assistance funds are available. Up to 80 percent of program fees may be awarded based on demonstrated need. To apply, go to the Programs section in your PlayMetrics account and select the Financial Aid tab. You will need to be prepared to provide proof of income documents.
