Recreation Field Hockey

Program Information


The NC Fusion Field Hockey Recreation Program is a great way to get started learning a new Olympic sport!  For those fairly new to the game or having never played or just looking to keep their skills sharp. Coaches will focus on dribbling, passing, receiving, attacking, and defending. Participants will be split up based on age. The hour and 30-minute Sunday sessions will consist of 45 minutes of skills training followed by 45 minutes of inter-squad games. 


Program Details:

  • For players in the K-8th grade
  • No player evaluation is required
  • Train on Sundays for eight weeks
  • 90 minute sessions will consist of skills training followed by 7v7 games
  • Sessions offered at Truist Sports Park in Bermuda Run
  • Fee = $130 (8 weeks)


Required Equipment:

  • Mouthguard
  • Shin guards
  • Outdoor Stick
  • Turf shoes, cleats or sneakers


This equipment can be purchased through Dick’s Sporting Goods. You can also reach out to Aerial Field Hockey located in Charlotte and we will arrange delivery of equipment. Their website is www.aerialfieldhockey.com.


Registration


Grant funding is available through Dick's Sporting Goods and All Kids Play to families who lack the resources to pay for youth sports.
