Ambassador Program

After a successful inaugural Ambassador Program in 2022-23 with 15 participants, NC Fusion will begin its 2^nd annual Ambassador Program for parents, coaches, community members, and supporters of the organization in September 2023. We are now accepting nominations for 2023-24 NC Fusion Ambassadors.

The purpose of the Ambassador Program is:

1. To increase engagement amongst Fusion families

2. To equip Fusion stakeholders with valuable information

3. To gain valuable feedback from Fusion membership

4. To create Fusion “culture keepers”

5. To build future potential Fusion Board members

Potential Ambassadors should possess the following qualifications:

1. Full support and passion for the mission of NC Fusion

2. Possess and demonstrate the 6 core values of NC Fusion

3. Possess and demonstrate the following psychosocial traits: Committed, Engaged, Passionate proponent, strategic, collaborative, forward thinking, supportive, listen well, diverse background, & puts club mission over self-interests

4. Possess skills or expertise that would “add value” to the Leadership at NC Fusion

5. Community connections that could lead to donor or sponsorship support

What are the duties/responsibilities of a Fusion Ambassador?

1. Model the NC Fusion core values

2. Hold others accountable to the NC Fusion core values

3. Participate in Fusion Feedback processes

4. Market and Promote NC Fusion to potential members

5. Fulfill time commitment list below

6. Be active on our social media channels

7. Contribute financially to fundraising initiatives and connect with other potential contributors

Ambassadors will receive the following:

1. Free stuff! Swag, tickets and private events

2. Make friends! Get to know other Fusion community members

3. Give back! Community relations / volunteer opportunities

4. Network! Spend time with leadership, staff, parents, board and community

5. Inspire! Model and foster the Fusion values and culture

6. Dive Deeper and Learn! Interaction with Fusion leadership and decision-makers

What is the time commitment to be a NC Fusion Ambassador?

Attend all 5 Bi-monthly Ambassador Summits (location TBD)

Sunday, September 24^th (5pm-8pm) – Welcome Social and On-boarding

Sunday, December 10^th (5pm-7pm)

Sunday, January 21^st (5pm-7pm)

Sunday, March 24^th (5pm-7pm)

Sunday, June TBD (5pm-7pm)

Attend at least 1 Quarterly NC Fusion Board Meeting (virtual meetings)

Engage with NC Fusion Staff for a minimum of 10 hours in the following activities:

Assist and attend a NC Fusion Tournament/Event weekend (many dates available)

Participate in the NC Fusion Podcast

Attend Leadership Team L10 Meeting – Weekly Tuesdays 9:15am (virtual)

Attend an Operations Team L10 Meeting – Weekly Mondays 10am (virtual)

Attend a Business Team L10 Meeting – Weekly Wednesdays 2pm (virtual)

Attend an Administrative Team L10 Meeting – Weekly Wednesdays 9am (virtual)

Attend a Soccer Leadership Team L10 Meeting – Weekly Thursdays 1pm (virtual)

Participate in 1 program with our Foundation (Beyond Sports) – Dates TBD

How to nominate a potential Ambassador?

Please complete the following nomination form by Friday, August 4^th. Click HERE to nominate an individual.

Nominated individuals will be asked to submit an online application by Friday, August 25^th and will go through virtual interviews the week of September 4^th.

Applicants will be notified by September 15^th if they have been accepted into the program. The NC Fusion Board and Leadership team will select 9 to 15 individuals to join the program.
